This week sees the release of four notable horror titles: 'Other Mommy' in theaters on October 9, a new adaptation of Stephen King's 'Carrie' arriving as an eight-episode series on Prime Video October 7, the anthology film 'V/H/S/Mixtape' debuting on Shudder October 9, and the Netflix sea monster series 'Below', with all six episodes arriving October 8. 'Other Mommy' stars Jessica Chastain and adapts a novel by Josh Malerman, with Rob Savage directing[1].
'Carrie,' directed by Mike Flanagan, features Summer H. Howell and Samantha Sloyan and is being released as a streaming series rather than a film. In addition, Fangoria highlights 'V/H/S/Mixtape' as a major new streaming horror option, part of a week packed with fresh releases for Halloween viewing[1][2].
