Joseph and Vanessa Winter will write and direct Future Me, a film based on Daria Vasileva’s viral short story first published in Reddit’s NoSleep community.[2][3] The story follows a man who receives an unsettling email from his past self through the FutureMe website, leading him into increasingly surreal events.[2][3]
The project is part of a partnership among Longevity Pictures, Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios, following their work on Home Safety Hotline.[2][3] Majd Nassif will produce for Longevity Pictures, with Steven Schneider and Roy Lee producing for Spooky Pictures; Ben Ross and Aysel Lyatifova will executive produce.[2][3]
The Winters previously directed Deadstream and contributed the “To Hell and Back” segment to V/H/S/99, according to Bloody Disgusting.[2] Fangoria also reported that the filmmakers are turning to online material for their next project.[1]
