The 20-minute short film The Mortician’s Daughter is now available to watch online after making the festival rounds, according to Dread Central.[1] Elwood Quincy Walker directed the film, which stars Hannah Barefoot as Violet, a woman asked to embalm her mother.[1]
Bonnie Aarons also stars in the short, according to Dread Central and Fangoria.[1][2] Dread Central says the story takes place in the funeral home where Violet grew up, as she prepares her mother’s body and memories resurface.[1] Fangoria describes Aarons as playing Violet’s mother.[2]
