A new trailer for Pendulum previews a couple seeking help at a spiritual retreat in New Mexico, where the husband grows wary of its leader as his wife is drawn to her. Bloody Disgusting reports the film will open in theaters on January 1, 2027.[1]
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Phoebe Dynevor play the couple, with Jacki Weaver as the retreat’s leader. Dread Central says Anna Deavere Smith, Jena Malone and Norman Reedus also appear in the film.[2] Mark Heyman, a screenwriter on Black Swan, makes his feature directorial debut with Pendulum.[1][2]
Darren Aronofsky produced the film through his Protozoa Pictures label, according to Bloody Disgusting.[1] Dread Central reports that the film is rated R for strong or bloody violent content, sexuality, drug use, nudity and language.[2]
