Aaron Guzikowski has been hired to write a new Alien film for 20th Century Studios, with Ridley Scott attached as a producer.[1][2] Scott is not currently attached to direct, and no director has been announced.[1][2] The project is separate from the sequel to Alien: Romulus that is also in development.[1][2]
The reports connect the new film to Scott’s Prometheus and Alien: Covenant stories, with the android David, played by Michael Fassbender, described as a link.[1][2] Fassbender is not attached to the project at this stage.[1][2] Guzikowski previously worked with Scott on the series Raised by Wolves and wrote the film Prisoners.[1][2]
