Crystal Lake showrunner Brad Caleb Kane says he has ideas for a second season, though its production has not been confirmed. He said the next season would explore Crystal Lake and its peripheral characters, with the story still centered on Pamela Voorhees and Jason[1][2].
Kane described a possible town-focused approach with a Twin Peaks-like feel, and said he has a starting point and the general outline of a season[1][2]. He said the story would not overlap with the 1980 Friday the 13th film in a second season[1].
The first season, starring Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, tells events leading toward the original film, according to Bloody Disgusting[1]. All eight episodes are streaming on Peacock[1][2]. Kane said he designed the season to work as a complete story if Peacock does not continue it[2].
